I don't love it that's for sure. Every year I think it would be a good idea to go into the city and kind of pay tribute to the whole 9/11 thing, then my birthday hits and I get too disgusted with how we continue to handle this day that I end up doing nothing. Besides that, I just get angry. <div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>To this day, I'm not sure if I even have a right to be angry and upset about the coincidence of my birthday. I mean, I didn't lose anybody. Not even anyone distant to me. Hell, I wasn't even awake during the time that the attacks happened in 2001. I am starting to think though, that us Americans need some SERIOUS time to mourn. By ourselves. No media. No long lists read off by random people. No televised tears from thee deeply saddened wives and children. No countless memorials in towns hundreds and thousands of miles away. None of it. Stay home, go about your day, mourn in your own way. Reflect in your own head. Seems everytime I talk to him, I get stoked about photography, but I didn't take a single picture today. Seems to be the typical outcome of my days recently. He did however turn my attention back to Nikon and may have put me on a path back to being a Nikon shooter. I'm cool with that. I am mad at him though, but only because he's going to Tahiti.
